aaaaa it's been a sec since an update and im just gonna focus on the last two weeks ^^;;
november stunk !! i think we can all agree OTL this election was trash and i learned the father of my nephews is a lunatic! luckily the rest of my family is sane so when thanksgiving rolled around, i was hit with the wonderful homesickness :^/ i'm going to visit them in a few weeks so it didnt linger but i just get bad fomo about everyone.
moving on to xmas feelings - im broke !!
im broke and i havent even bought anything yet LOL. i had a lot of bigger spending within my last paycheck and with not getting paid (indie dev is hard!!) i've been kinda floating. honestly i feel really shitty overall about it, just feeling stupid and it got pretty bad last week. I genuinely....ah i was pretty sad....yes. luckly i have from survey accounts from my broke college student era so i've been slowly collecting some extra cash to try and bring some holiday cheer. made $100 for gifts to far T^T time for thrifting and daiso >.>
i love giving gifts! i like to put a lot of thought in my gifts but i didnt plan ahead for this year cause i got too comfortable....
i've had a running list on my notes for what to buy people but i think i need to start a gift drawer to contribute to within the year. those tiktok moms really got gifts locked down with their whole gift closets. if you don't know what this is, you essestially collect gifts throughout the year rather than bulk/last minute buying for holidays/birthdays. there's always sales for things or you might see something that's perfect as a gift - well why not get it then and there? ahhh i wish i did this T^T 2025 i promise !!
:] this feels good to write all down, i really hateeeee expressing my feelings cause i'm very in the mindset of "other people have it worse" but this little space, no one knows, i am safe u_u

Yesterday i went to the lone star zine fest with my friends !! Icy invited me out and midday october 19th, we were on our way with her husband along for the ride. It was a totally free to attend event with a little under 100 vendors to meet and shop from. and meet and shop from i did !!
i was pretty nervous talking to people but aaa the artists were so kind and brave? if brave is the word to use, they def fit it! going out an showcasing your art is a lot and all the booths were insanely unique!

The whole fest was really...inspiring? motivating? i really want to make zines now! I came up with a couple ideas that same night so i'll be sure to update when i get around to completing those.
i dont see vending in my future but seeing all the booths did make me miss being the merch girl for our game at pax last month QAQ
till then, i did do something immediately after getting home - bought a business card holder! i love collecting people's cards, it can sometimes be a mini art print and its a fun memory of those i come across. i def need to find more ways to showcase/organize cause while i tend to pick up prints and pins, i struggle to display them properly. the way hyde organizes his artist merch comes to mind 🤔 looks like i'll need to invest in some binders o7
the pax west blog - September 14, 2024
August 30th-September 2nd was PAX West 2024 and my friends and i got to showcase our horror game
it mainly was a lot of standing around for me, thanks to my role. i took on the job of running the merch table so would really only interact when ppl lingered by or specifically called towards me.
"Hello" *wave* "let me know if you have any questions!" became my catch phrase
im ngl...it was rough OTL like it was fun and our showcase went well!! but we all were pretty stressed and i was so overwhelmed T^T i'm just not the best at talking and socializing and we had a HUGE booth with a line going saturday and sunday.... pain
unfortunately, i did get covid OTL FOR THE FIRST TIME!!! i wore a mask the whole time but some members didnt OTL IM NOT BLAMING BUT ITS TERRIBLY UNLUCKY i'm currently healing up well
all in all, it was sweet, bittersweet at times, but actually seeing people interact with our game was incredible and i wouldnt trade that for anything i think :]

ahaha...can you tell i love blogging ? NO OKAY i havent updated anything here so that's on me as a whole ! I will say this year has been going well enough! I started streaming again and have plans to incorperate the site work as co-working streams~ my work is going well, there's like high days and low days still but so much progress it's INSANE. All these things sort of fitting into schedule have really motivated me so big plans! well average size plans? :3c for sure this site will get the updates it deserves and i'll work steadily to complete my plans o7
